About the web page

If there were only one discovery I had made from recent customer feedback, it would be that my web page was inadequate. "The photos just do not do the home justice", "There is not enough information about the home on the site", "You would have sold that house a long time ago, if the web page was better".

As you have probably guessed, I wrote this web page myself. I wrote it with Microsoft Front Page. The first draft, including learning the program, took about 20 hours. It is obviously not as polished as some. The web sites for builders in my neighborhoods and price range vary considerably in appearance. Some say simply "under construction", others are in various states of refinement. I am setting target for myself of about 8 out of 10 on the "web site refinement" scale.

I hate to disappoint, but the day is never going to come, when you see a polished sleek web page at this ULR. As with the homes, I think it is important that I stay connected with the product. I don't want to be out of touch with the message my web page is sending. You are buying the home, not the web page, but you are making your decision on information put forth on these pages. I think it should be more comforting to the buyer to have a more direct connection with the builder.

Having said all that, I will now go forth on the rest of the pages and try to do the best job possible describing not only the houses, but the background and basis for why they look and feel the way they do. On this new web page I may come across as too outspoken, or for some I may be too distracting. It was a long process getting where I am, in terms of the style and the elements I feel are correct in a home.  My homes would not be my homes if it weren't for that "upbringing"

So here goes the "new" web site. What is for sale and why you should buy it. You can e mail me with your comments. wawrose@wt.net  I hope you can understand the homes and what I am trying to do.

Also, if any body knows how to fix the "shared border" on the left, please e mail me about that. For instance "Custom Homes" should be all one line, not 2 lines. I cannot change it, and the Microsoft "help" is not much help.  I don't really want to switch computer programs either right now. I know now we are supposed to use "Dynamic Web Templates" in stead of shared borders, but I have not learned that. It seems too much work to switch to Dynamic templates, just to get the words "more" and "pictures" on the same line. Maybe if I get enough hits, someone will know what to do.

Now,  Go ahead and take your time exploring, and feel free to comment. I am interested in what you have to say, even if you are not a potential buyer. I hope you enjoy reading my web page and feel it worthy of many return visits.
